New Roots: Making Sense of a Long List of Visas

Turning a Long List of Visas into a Clear First Step

New Roots Migration & Education Consultants helps people move, study and reunite with family, with a strong focus on Australia. CodingCafe built a WordPress site that sorts a long list of visa options into something a nervous applicant can follow, and leads to a booked appointment.

About the Project

Most people arrive at a migration consultant’s website with one big question and very little of the vocabulary: which visa is even for me?

New Roots answers that across an unusually wide range. It covers skilled and employer-sponsored migration, partner and parent visas, business visas, appeals and reviews, along with student services, IELTS and PTE coaching. It has a presence in Australia and India, and also advises on the UK, Canada, the USA and New Zealand.

Challenge We Tackled

The difficulty was never a shortage of content, but the amount of it. A student comparing courses, a skilled worker checking GSM rules and a family applying for a partner visa all need different pages, in a field where a wrong step costs real time and money.

  • Group a long list of visa types without oversimplifying them.
  • Keep migration, education and coaching together without blurring them.
  • Earn enough trust that someone books a consultation.

Our Approach

The website was designed to take people from “I don’t know where to start” to a booked appointment.

Services are grouped by what the visitor is trying to do. Migration holds the individual visa pages, Education covers studying in Australia and the student visa process, and Student Services and Coaching have their own sections. The home page leads with the six visas people ask about most, then branches out by destination.

Along the way, an FAQ and a work process page answer the questions people tend to ask first, and Make Appointment is never far away.
